Kundli matching — called gun milan or kundali milan — is the classical Vedic method of assessing whether two horoscopes carry compatible structural signatures for marriage. The system works by finding the Moon's nakṣatra (birth-star) in each chart and comparing the two positions across 8 compatibility clusters called kootas.
