षड्बलम् Ṣaḍ-Bala
The six-fold strength of each graha — Sthāna, Dik, Kāla, Ceṣṭā, Naisargika, Dṛk — composed per BPHS Ch. 27 and tabulated below on a fixed reference chart. Every figure is computed server-side from the sovereign Bharat substrate; nothing is hand-entered.
षडङ्गानि · The six components
BPHS 27.10–54| # | अङ्गम् · Component | Measures | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | स्थान-बलम् Sthāna · Positional | Dignity of placement (uccha → nīca) + kendra class. Sub-components in the full canon: Uccha, Saptavarga, Ojayugma-Rāśy-Aṃśa, Kendra, Drekkāṇa. | BPHS 27.10–22 |
| 2 | दिग्बलम् Dik · Directional | Each graha is strongest in one cardinal house — Sūrya/Maṅgala 10th · Candra/Śukra 4th · Guru/Budha 1st · Śani 7th. Scored by angular distance from that house. | BPHS 27.24–29 |
| 3 | काल-बलम् Kāla · Temporal | Ayana-bala from declination (vikṣepa → krānti; Sun doubled) + Pakṣa-bala from Moon–Sun elongation ± Yuddha-bala from the live ≤1° war scan. | BPHS 27.30–46 |
| 4 | चेष्टा-बलम् Ceṣṭā · Motional | Retrograde motion scores full (60); direct motion scores mid (30). | BPHS 27.48–52 |
| 5 | नैसर्गिक-बलम् Naisargika · Natural | Fixed classical hierarchy: Sūrya 60 · Candra 51.43 · Śukra 42.85 · Guru 34.28 · Budha 25.71 · Maṅgala 17.14 · Śani/Rāhu/Ketu 8.57. | BPHS 27.50 |
| 6 | दृग्-बलम् Dṛk · Aspectual | Net of incoming graha-dṛṣṭi: benefic full aspects +60, malefic −60, summed ÷ 4. Whole-sign Parāśarī aspects (7th universal; Maṅgala 4/8, Guru 5/9, Śani 3/10). | BPHS 26.4–7 · 27.46–54 |

Minimum required totals (BPHS 27.65): Sūrya 390 · Candra 360 · Maṅgala 300 · Budha 420 · Guru 390 · Śukra 330 · Śani 300 virūpa. A graha below its minimum is classically read as structurally weak — a statement about chart geometry, not an instruction. Rāhu and Ketu carry no classical minimum.
गणन-विधिः · Method, stated plainly
honest labels · no hidden terms- 3.1
The Saptavarga term currently uses the rāśi (D1) dignity only; the full 7-varga composite is a forthcoming refinement.
- 3.2
Kāla-bala here is the computed Ayana + Pakṣa ± Yuddha sub-total. Ayana-bala derives each graha's declination from the Nīlakaṇṭha vikṣepa (latitude) kernel; Yuddha-bala comes from a live ≤1° planetary-war scan at the chart epoch. The time-of-day group (Natonnata, Tribhāga, Horā) needs the full birth-clock and is outside this column's scope.
- 3.3
Ceṣṭā-bala is scored from retrograde state alone (retrograde 60, direct 30); the eight-state ceṣṭā with speed-relative-to-mean and combustion is a forthcoming refinement.
- 3.4
Dṛk-bala uses discrete whole-sign Parāśarī aspects, which are exact for the special aspects that dominate the result; the continuous Sphuṭa-Dṛṣṭi interpolation is a forthcoming refinement.
स्व-कुण्डल्यां ग्रह-बलम् · The same matrix, your chart
The chart caster computes graha positions, retrograde state, and dignities — the inputs to ṣaḍ-bala — from your birth data. Birth data is never placed in a URL.
Cast your kuṇḍalī →Ṣaḍ-bala aggregates structural strength. When an empowered graha delivers belongs to synthesis with daśā, gocara, and lived context — structure, not prediction.
