Across the 1900–2050 range all six systems agree to within ~2°. The dominant disagreement is between the Siddhāntic Pushyāmsa (mean rate 54″/y) and the modern Newcomb-rate systems (50.29″/y). MK uses the modern rate, anchored at a sovereign zero-date — not Swiss-derived.

one offset · three sensitivitiesLagna shift · लग्न1° ≈ 4 minA 1° ayanāṃśa difference shifts the lagna by ~4 minutes of birth-time. Within ~3° of a sign-cusp, the system choice can move the lagna to the next or previous rāśi — a different natal-D1 frame.
Nakṣatra-pāda shift · पादpāda = 3°20′A 0.5° change can flip the Moon's pāda — and with it the Vimśottarī daśā balance, stage durations, and the canonical janma-nakṣatra deity. The daśā-tree is sensitive to this choice.
Varga shift · वर्गD60 arc = 30′D60 (ṣaṣṭyāṃśa) partitions each 30° rāśi into 30′ arcs. A 0.1° change can shift a graha's D60 by one named deity — Pārāśara's pūrva-janma marker. Use one ayanāṃśa consistently throughout a reading.
